FAQs

1.    How do I change my flights?

Just contact us on email info@buddhatravel.com.auor you can call us on 1300 116 746. Our support team will advise you on the procedure for the required changes. Our support team will first check whether the changes can be made and will let you know of any costs involved in the changes.

 2.    How do I cancel my reservation?

 You can email us your request before 48 hours for any cancellation from your first departure flight at info@buddhatravel.com.au or you can call us on 1300 116 746. We can assist you with the same.

 Before applying for a refund or a cancellation of booking, please make sure you speak to our support team to check whether your ticket is refundable or not because most airline tickets issued are non-refundable.

 3.    Can I change the name on my ticket?

Yes, you can change your name in your ticket if there is any alphabet mistake and every airline has its own procedure. Whenever there is any name change, our support team will check first with the airline on whether they allow the changes. If the airlines do allow, we will advise you on the procedure of that airline. All reservations must be made in the EXACT name of the person travelling as per their passport - no nicknames. For international travel the name on the reservation must be exactly as it appears on the traveler’s passport

4.    How do I select my seats?

 Nowadays some airlines are charging for seat assignments and many airlines restrict pre-assigned seats.

You may select your seat assignments directly online. From the home page click on "check my booking".  Enter your email address or name to locate your flight schedule. Once the flight page is open, select "request seat" directly under each flight number.  If pre-assigned seating is available a seat map will appear.

5.    How do I request special meals?


If you want the option of meal selection in the flight you’re travelling, please make sure you mention during the purchasing process with us. Please note, special requests are not guaranteed always.

 

6.    Are there discounts for Infant/Child fares?

Infants are children under age 2. Child fares are for children between the ages of 2-11. Yes they both have discounted fares always compared to adult fares

Can I make a reservation over the phone?
Yes you can make it, just call us and provide all required information for the passengers


7.    What are the baggage restrictions for my flights?

 

Several Australian airlines have changed their baggage allowance for both carry on and check in luggage. Some airlines are now charging fees for the second bag as well as carry on luggage. Please call the airlines directly for the most up to date policies. On your ticket baggage weight allowance will be mentioned by the airlines.

 

8.    What documents do I need to go through airport security?

        For domestic flights, you will need your Boarding Pass, any government or state issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport along with a copy of your itinerary/trip         details.

9.    Do I have to reconfirm my flight?

Yes. International flights should be reconfirmed 72 hours in advance and Domestic flights 24 hours in advance, by calling travel agent or airline. It is important to check for any schedule changes in your itinerary as well ask confirming where to check in for your flight as some airlines will partner with another airline for certain flights. Airlines reserve the right to cancel bookings if reservations are not reconfirmed, regardless if tickets have been issued or not.

11.  Why did my flight schedule change?

Occasionally the airlines make changes to their flight schedules to accommodate changes in equipment, routing, or capacity. Buddha Travel will make every effort to notify you if your reservation is impacted by an airline schedule change. Since schedule changes can occur at any time, Buddha Travel strongly encourages passengers to verify departure times and flight numbers directly with the airlines 24 to 72 hours prior to departure. 

If a major schedule change has occurred and the new flight(s) are unacceptable, please call 1300 116 746. Buddha Travel will contact the airline on your behalf and discuss with you your available options. Please understand all options given are at the discretion of the airline.
