Big Mosque: Also called the Wallajah Mosque, Big Mosque it is located at the Walajah Road in Triplicane. A historical landmark of the city, it was constructed by Wallajah family in remembrance of Nawab Muhammad Ali Walajah, in the year 1795. 
 
Fort St. George: Situated on the banks of Bay of Bengal, Fort St. George was time-honored as the East India Company's invigorated grip in Madras and it was from this minor trading post that the British impact spread all over India.
