Upon your arrival in Beijing, your local guide will greet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel in a private vehicle. The rest of the day is yours to acclimatize or explore this dynamic metropolis on your own.
On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square, the largest plaza on earth. Passing through the iconic Tiananmen Gate, then you will enter the splendid Forbidden City, China’s No.1 palace complex famous for its grand royal buildings, exquisite ornaments and priceless treasures.
In the afternoon, you will come across the old Bejing by entering into the Hutongs, where you will have a leisurely walk into the local Beijingers’ daily life and try your hands at painting a facial make-up of Peking Opera on a paper model.
You will visit to the magnificent Great Wall (Mutianyu section), which built along the mountain ridge is an amazing architectural masterpiece. The ancient bricks formed the winding wall which was once as a barrier in Norther China through centuries for what is now Beijing. Continue to visit Chang Tomb the largest of the Ming tombs among the 13 mausoleums in the vicinity of Tianshou mountain. On the way back, you will stop at a Jade Gallery.
After breakfast, enjoy a leisure walk inside Temple of Heaven where now is a part for local people to do morning exercise. Then move to the Summer Palace, the best imperial garden in China.
After the tour, be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, China's most cosmopolitan city, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Explore this incredible city today! Start with the Shanghai Museum which offering an artistic historical tour of the Middle Kingdom dating from 20 centuries B.C., then stroll around the Bund to see the charming scenery along the Huangpu River, pay a visit to Jiangnan Silk Workshop and ramble in the quiet Yu Garden. Continue to immerse yourself in the local market Yuyuan Market. Later get a bird's eye view of Shanghai from the Shanghai World Financial Center.
After breakfast, you will visit historic Zhujiajiao village(50 minute drive from Shanghai) - a lovely watertown featured with typical scene "Bridge, River & Houses". At Zhujiajiao, you will walk through Fangsheng Bridge, Beida Street, and the Kezhi Garden. It is a trip stepped back in time. After that, you will be driven back to Shanghai to enjoy a free afternoon.
You will be free on this day until your personal guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
