Japan Golden Route 7 Days

Day 1: Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita or Haneda Airport, your driver will meet you at the arrival exit point and take you to your accommodation by shared shuttle.

Day 2: Tokyo (B, L)

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the highlights of Tokyo! Go by the National Diet Building, Imperial Palace and visit Tsukiji Outer Market, the world’s largest wholesale fish and seafood market where you can see around 330 fish markets, greengrocers and restaurants. Afterwards, drive by Kabukiza Theatre along the way to TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN® where you can explore Japan’s tallest structure freely (admission fee to TOKYO SKYTREE® observation decks not included). From there, head to the old downtown area of Asakusa for Senso-ji Temple -Tokyo’s oldest temple- and Nakamise Shopping Street. After lunch at a local restaurant, board the Tokyo Bay Cruise. Lastly drive-by Tokyo Tower and Omotesando, before reaching Meiji Jingu Shrine, surrounded by lush greenery in this busy capital city, you can learn about Japan’s ancient religion.

The tour will finish upon arrival at Shinjuku.

Day 3: Tokyo (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and a full free day at leisure in Tokyo.

Day 4: Tokyo - Mt.Fuji - Hakone (B, L, D)

After breakfast, pack a small overnight bag as your main suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to your hotel in Kyoto. Travel by coach up to 2,300 meters on Japan’s highest mountain, Mt. Fuji, to see a spectacular view.

After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. The view of Mt. Fuji in the background from Lake Ashi is iconic in Hakone. Lastly, take a ride on Mt. KomagatakeRopeway to the peak of Mt. Komagatake for a stunning panoramic view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji.

After the tour, transfer from Hakone-en to your accommodation in Hakone.

Overnight at Nanpu-so or similar (3 star)

Day 5: Hakone - Kyoto (B)

Have breakfast at your ryokan and then make your own way from Hakone to Odawara Station to board the bullet train bound for Kyoto. Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, make your own way to your accommodation.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time at leisure in Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto - Tokyo (Return Trip) (B)

Following breakfast, tour the main sites of Kyoto in the morning. Visit Nijo Castle, with its impressive massive stone walls and elaborate gates and Kinkaku-ji Temple, known as the Golden Pavilion. Also stop by Kyoto Imperial Palace, renowned as a pinnacle for its simplicity of Japanese architecture.

This afternoon, board the bullet train back to Tokyo and make your own way to your accommodation.

Day 7: 

Tokyo - Narita or Haneda Airport (B)

Have breakfast at your hotel. Spend part of the day exploring Tokyo at your own leisure, until it is time to depart to Narita or Haneda Airport via shared shuttle.

Pick up times is about 4 hours prior to the flight.
