Ultimate Japan Escape

Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo
A greeter meets you in the arrival hall and takes you to a private car. The ride ends at your Tokyo hotel, where you stay for three nights. After check-in, wander the neighbourhood with no plan and find dinner nearby.

Day 2: Tokyo by the Yamanote Line
Today is self-guided, and the JR Yamanote Line links every stop. Start in Shinjuku, with its towers and laneway bars, then cross the famous intersection at Shibuya. Harajuku comes next, with Takeshita Street's colour and the forest paths of Meiji Shrine, and Akihabara ends the day among arcades and anime shops.

Day 3: teamLab Planets and Tokyo Bay
Make your own way to Toyosu and walk barefoot through teamLab Planets, where light, water and sound respond as you move. Mirrored rooms of floating lights and shallow pools with digital fish take around two hours. Afterwards, stroll the waterfront or carry on to Odaiba for seaside parks and the Gundam statue. Your ticket is included, and this is your last night in Tokyo.

Day 4: Tokyo to the Disney Resort
Your morning is free, so take one more walk or simply sleep in. A private driver then takes you to the Tokyo Disney Resort area in Maihama, where you stay for three nights. The Disney Resort Line monorail runs from Bayside Station to both parks. Ikspiari, the resort's shopping and dining district.

Day 5: A Full Day at Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland has your full day, with entry included. Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland each feel different, and parades and seasonal shows run through the day. Food ranges from quick snacks to themed restaurants, paid as you go. Stay after dark, when the park lights up.

Day 6: A Day at Tokyo DisneySea
Entry to Tokyo DisneySea is included, and the park exists nowhere else in the world. It leans a little more toward grown-ups, with ports modelled on Mediterranean harbours and mysterious islands set around the water. Rides and shows fill the day, and themed dining is a draw, so plan one sit-down meal. As evening comes, lights glow across the harbour.

Day 7: Shinkansen to Kyoto
Most of today is spent on the move. Check out, head back into Tokyo and board the Shinkansen to Kyoto, sitting on the right-hand side if you want a glimpse of Mount Fuji soon after departure. At Kyoto Station, make your way to your hotel, your base for three nights. Settle in, then take an easy first look at the city.

Day 8: Kyoto with a Private Guide
Your private guide meets you at 10am for a full day built around Kyoto's most photogenic corners. The route runs from the Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama to the Golden Pavilion at Kinkaku-ji, then into Gion and Yasaka Shrine. Later you walk the historic slopes of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka to Kiyomizu-dera, and end beneath the torii gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha. Entrance fees are included, while local transport and meals are paid for on the day.

Day 9: A Free Day in Kyoto
Nothing is planned today. Start with snacks at Nishiki Market, walk along the Kamo River, and stop for coffee in a small local café. If you want more culture, drop into a temple garden or browse the craft shops. Families can keep it flexible with parks and easy places to eat.

Day 10: Kyoto to Osaka by Train
Take the train to Osaka, about 50 minutes away. Your ticket is included. Check in at your hotel, where you stay for three nights. In the evening, head to Dotonbori, where neon signs light up the canal-side streets and stalls sell takoyaki and okonomiyaki.

Day 11: Osaka Free Day or Nara Trip
Today is free, so stay in Osaka or take an optional day trip to Nara, about 45 minutes by train. In Nara Park, deer wander freely and are considered sacred in Shinto tradition, and Todai-ji Temple holds the Great Buddha. Kasuga Taisha Shrine, close by, is lined with stone and bronze lanterns.

Day 12: A Day at Universal Studios Japan
Trains from central Osaka reach Universal Studios Japan in about 30 minutes, and your park entry is included. Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade village anchor the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, while Minion Park and Jurassic Park keep things loud. The Hollywood area adds classic movie rides and live shows, and Super Nintendo World is home to Mario, Luigi and Bowser.

Day 13: Departure from Osaka
Check out and use the free hours if your flight is later in the day. Take a last walk or a slow meal. Your driver meets you in the hotel lobby for a private transfer to Kansai International Airport.
